NEVER LET YOU GO - Word Press Photo Org 2012 Winner (Daily Life) by Alejandro Kirchuk

Marcos, 89, and Monica, 87, have been married and living in their apartment in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for 65 years. In 2007, Monica was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Since that moment, her husband devoted all his time to take care of her.

Monica later died in their apartment, in Marcos’s hands, as he was going to change her diaper. He visits her grave at least once a month in the cemetery.
This is real love. Not that 72 days nonsense.
I couldn’t possibly scroll past this.

theres an old couple like this in my building, she has Alzheimer’s too and her husband does everything for her, he takes such good care of her. she doesn’t even remember who he is sometimes. the other day he even told my dad how hard it is to hear your own wife say “who are you?”, its crazy.
